Store and secure outdoor lawn furniture and other loose, lightweight objects, such as garbage cans, garden tools, potted plants, etc.

home's vulnerability to storm surge, flooding and wind.

それぞれの危機に対して一番安全な場所を確認する。家の中とご近所の両方で
確認。Locate the safest areas in your home or community for each hurricane
hazard.

非常時の電話番号を電話機の近くに書いておく。子供にいつ、どうやって
「911」をかけるか教えておく。Post emergency telephone numbers by your phones and make sure your children know how and when to call 911.

次ぎの非常用品を備蓄する。水、非常食、救急医薬品、懐中電灯、乾電池。停電に備え乾電池で使えるラジオを用意し、停電でも使える旧式の電話機もあれば出しておく。Stock nonperishable emergency supplies and a disaster supply kit, containing water, food, first-aid supplies.

TV・ラジオの報道に注意し非難命令や避難経路の道路事情などを逐次的確に把握する。指定された避難日程を絶対に守ること。また、ハリケーンが近づく前に早めに車のガソリンを満タンにしておく。Pay attention to TV/Radio broadcasts as they will update the Evacuation Order or traffic information for the evacuation routes. Be sure to follow the exact Evacuation Schedule for your area. Fill up your car long before the hurricane approaches the land.

現金、貴重品、保険証書等をいつでも持って行けるよう１つの箱かバッグにまとめて置く。Keep and store all legal documents in one easily moved, secure container or safe. Make an inventory of documents, photos, and other irreplaceable articles that need to be taken in case of an evacuation.

もし避難する場合は、電気機器や電話を電源から抜いて二次災害を防止する。ガスについてはガス会社の指示に従うこと。これらの情報もTV・ラジオで放送されるので注意しましょう。If evacuating, disconnect utilities...phone, electricity...as a precaution to prevent further damage.
